A Breakfast Date With a Bunch of Mates

What do you do when you’re bored on a Sunday morning and have nothing else to do? Well, with your tummy empty and a relaxing day ahead, (hopefully) how about about some breakfast?

Breakfast, in my opinion, is the very most important meal of the day. It’s also the time of the day with the best selection of foods possible. So every now and then, I think it’s reasonable to say that you should take time out of your schedule and treat yourself to a meal out.

It’s Sunday morning. The sun is shinning and my friends and I hop out of bed. It’s roughly noonish. What a perfect, opportune time to take advantage of an idea like getting breakfast. So with our bellies very hungry and itching for a decent meal, maybe today would be an OK day to go spend some money and get food.

Where to go though?

My friends and I chose … Dun dun dun …

The Shack! We choose this place because we heard it was good from stlcollegefoodie. If you don’t know who that is, she’s a food blogger from Webster Groves in whom tries places to eat and then rates her experiences there. Her time at The Shack must have been delightfully delicious as the restaurant scored a high 9/10 on her post about it. That rating was enough to convince my friend group and I that we had to try this place out.

I’d have to say the food was very impressive. Inspiring almost. How? I don’t know. But it was a great experience going to get food and hanging with my friends. This adventure was a tab bit more expensive prior to my last few extravaganzas though. Overall the bill was approximately…

Don’t get me wrong, their food was excellent, the experience was fine, and the coffee was reasonably flavored. But come on, I ordered a croissant with eggs, bacon, two plain slices of american cheese and a side of hash browns. That is nothing special. It didn’t have to be this way.

I say, if you’re bored. You should still go somewhere to eat. Going out to eat is always a great option. It gives you a reason to do something other than sit at home. But if you’re looking for something cheap, The Shack ain’t it brotha’.

The idea of going to The Shack in order to save money is dumb silly. Not smart at all, don’t do it. I rate it 2/10 due to the pricing issues.
