Pink and warm and fuzzy. Thats how this coffee shop makes me feel.
Today Kristen and I have gone into the suburbs of St. Louis in hopes to find a decent coffee shop.
With divine blogger, Kirsten Farrah (@Thecoffeehouse), at my side, we were set on finding a place in which would be worth our time.
When going to a coffee shop, it’s as much about the experience as it is the taste of the drink in which you get. Looking for a place to cure our boredom, we searched google in hopes to find somewhere to go.
We found this place called “The Sweet Divine”.

The online pictures looked intriguing. Convincing enough. We decided to make our way to the town of Soulard – the place in which the coffee shop was located.
When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was that there were parking spots everywhere. That’s insane considering this is St. Louis. That doesn’t happen often.
Walking in we were instantly shook. The place was beautiful and there were cupcakes from head to toe in their case of goodies.
I had no idea this was a bakery too.
After looking at their menu I turned my head to the left and BAM. They nailed the aesthetics of the building. Marble floors, pink couch with fuzzy blanket, lights, flowers. If I could have eaten this place because of how good it looked, I would have.

I really wanted to get a cupcake. I looked at them for so long excitedly. My heart was so set on ripping into a delightful, fluffy, delicious dessert. But then… Kristen ordered and she didn’t get one. She said, “I’ve been eating like crap lately I don’t think I want one.”
My heart cried for her. Like bro. We came all the way here. 20 minutes away from home. And… You’re not even going to get a cupcake? So upset and distraught about her decision, I ended my idea of getting a cupcake too.
For my drink, it was a hard choice, but I choose to get a caramel macchiato. Full of sugar and everything sweet, the drink was excellently executed. I also enjoyed the light flavor of their espresso that was wrapped within the textures of caramel and vanilla flavoring.

Bathroom time. Walked in and what do I see. Beauty, again. Like this is just the bathroom why did ya’ll have to try so hard in here too? But yet again, I was impressed.
Washing my hands and I went to toss my paper towel away. Zreeeeuum. The garbage lid opens automatically for me. I feel like such a well treated guest here that I’m almost in tears.
To top it off the worker also said something about how this place is known for winning Cupcake Wars. And if you haven’t seen that show, you’ve at least heard about it. Everyone knows what Cupcake Wars is. Wow.

Nothing was going to bring my experience here down. Overall this place was a whopping 9/10. Yes I said it. A nine. This place gets that high of a rating because nothing about it was wrong. The only real problem was that it costed money. My drink was roughly $6 with a rounded up tip. So it wasn’t too expensive for the experience it came with, but still it wasn’t free.
I say if you are bored and can find $6 to spare, try this coffee shop. You won’t regret it. And even get a cupcake if you have more than six bucks. Do it for me since I missed out on such a great opportunity.
